Hi, Dasha! This is awesome! I’m learning how to make up but I don’t know where to start. I actually attended a workshop last weekend but I don’t think it’s enough even for the basics. Your blog is really helpful and I’m so glad to have found it! Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to learning more from you.

Thank you so much for your inspirational and nice words! I agree that sometimes a workshop is not enough. The best is to practice make-up often, try, research, expertise and what is the most important – don’t worry and have fun 🙂 Because when we come in front of the mirror in bad mood even the make up will result it.
I’m glad if I can help you! If you have any specific questions feel free to contact me! Best, Dasha

I’m looking for a make up school that has schedule for the weekends. I found some but they are costly. Plus I will be traveling a lot this April and May so I guess I have to put off my enrollment. But I want to practice on myself. Please give me some advice on how to choose the best make up brush. I want to invest on them. Thank you so much, Dasha. 🙂

Hi Mheg! Nice to hear again from you 🙂 I understand your situation!
Regarding brushes, I’d suggest you to try & play with new synthetic and cruelty-free brushes. They work great! You can check on my blog under the category “Make-up brushes & accessories” many different reviews of them and their qualities. This is the new generation of brushes.
But if you are looking for natural hair brushes, I can suggest you brands that I like the most: MAC (their brushes are really good-made from the japanese brand Hakuhodo). Or even better check the original Hakuhodo site-they are among the best brushes in the world! You can even find there very good brushes at reasonable prices. I also love very much DaVinci (excellent hand-made german brushes). I used to invest in high-quality hand-made brushes, cause with appropriate care they really last forever. But now I really like discovering, testing and working with different brands of synthetic brushes. Among natural hair brushes I’ve tried really a lot of brands but I don’t find any specific differences in quality, except on those that I’ve listed you. I am not always used to buy an entire set of one brand, because I prefer buying a brush that I exactly need and like. For example, I use my Make-up forever brush for concealing since always (it was among my first brushes) while I have almost never used their powder brush, cause it really does not fulfill my needs.
In every case I’d suggest you to check and try different brands before and buy just those that you really like and that will work for you 🙂 However, if you need any other specific advice about which brushes to buy, let me know. Hope was helpful 🙂 Best, Dasha

Thank you so much for this, Dasha! It’s so nice to hear from a professional make up artist. I’m so excited to learn. Really, you are such an inspiration. 🙂 Besides teaching, being a professional make up artist is a work I would definitely enjoy. I’d surely consider this. Thanks! 🙂

If you search for Apiterra organic cosmetic the street in Porec is Ulica Cardo Maximus. And this is NOT their website. I just did a review of their cosmetics.
